A speciality originated from the Muslims in India, Biryani is an authentic mix of rice, Indian spices, meat and a few vegetables.

Ingredients:
- Oil
- Ghee
- Salt
- Basmati Rice
- Meat- chicken or mutton
- Spices- bayleaf, cinnamon, clove and cardamom
- Cumin seeds
- Onions
- Meeshna Chicken/Mutton Biryani Masala
- Meeshna Turmeric Powder
- Meeshna Chilli Powder
- Meeshna Garam Masala
Recipe:
All you need to Prepare:
- Prepare cooked rice by combining it with water and above mentioned spices. Strain the rice after 10 minutes of cooking.
- Marinate the meat in a mixture of curd, ginger garlic paste, Meeshna Garam Masala, Meeshna Turmeric Powder, Meeshna Chilli Powder, Meeshna Chicken/Mutton Biryani Masala, salt and a dash of lemon juice
- Slice the onions. Keep some to make the Biryani and rest of the onions should be fried for garnishing.
Steps to make Chicken/Mutton Biryani:
- Take a large pan with oil and add cumin seeds
- Add sliced onions and let it cook until they turn translucent
- Add the marinated meat and sauté until it turns soft
- Check if the meat meets the desired spiciness. If not, then add some more of Meeshna Chicken/Mutton Masala.
- Start making layers- spread the meat gravy evenly in a handi as the bottom layer. Top it with a layer of strained rice. Garnish it with fried onions and cover the lid.
- Keep the handi covered on a low flame for atleast 30 minutes
